And I'm not referring to last night's party. I think I'm one of the few people who are leaving behind last year reluctantly. It was so intense, so interesting, so full of life, of joy, and - yes - of happiness, that I honestly don't think I can hope for a second year in a row like this.
Actually, I don't even expect it, or want it. Because, as I was saying, it was a sort of long party, or of long holiday, and you can't always be on holiday. Well, sure you can, if that's all you want from life. But I'm the kind of person who likes to be useful, to do useful things, to build up something, so I couldn't just go on partying all my life.
Not that I have accomplished nothing in 2006. Actually, I have started a lot of things: my Turkish lessons (well, actually they started in 2005, but doing it in Turkey is something totally different), the SF podcast, new sites and blogs... But, well, that's exactly the point: I have started a lot, and finished nothing.
So, now I need a pause. Not to rest, of course, but to put some order in my many lives and worlds :)
And, if possible, in my flat ;-)
That will be the keyword for 2007: not exactly "order", because it reminds me of Nazism (see Brecht), but "organisation".
In order to accomplish this, I will have to stop starting new things. It's quite painful for me: I already have a few ideas concerning the SF world. But it's necessary. As a friend of mine says half-jokingly, I always do 15 things at the same time, none of them well. Well, now I want to do fewer things, for a change, but well. Very well, if possible.
And then, I'll start again in 2008. But for now, the challenge is to go against my natural tendency to produce enthropy, and try to fight some of it :)
Which doesn't mean, of course, I'm giving up my book about Turkey. That is organisation too: organising the information I have about it and putting it together. And learn more of Turkish. But, for the moment, I'm giving up learning Spanish and German, it will come later.
And I would also like that this damned connection worked :( (written while off line, of course)
