I've just discovered, by chance, the group 47 on Flickr. Here is how the owner explains the existence of this group:

I went to Pomona College, class of 2001. If you didn't, then you should know a certain Prof. Bentley allegedly proved that all numbers are equal to 47 and most people that went to Pomona spend the rest of their lives noticing the number 47 wherever it appears (whether they want to or not), or adding the number 47 wherever they can.

What I didn't know is this:

Notable 47s appear in many episodes of Star Trek, since a writer, Joe Menosky, was a Pomona grad. So there are also trekkies that think there is some grand cosmic connection.

Well, I was born on April 7th, in American numbers 4/7. Might it have some meaning?
