I always hope one day I'll be able to read [info]annafdd's novel in Italian, but I never have the time to do it. Tonight instead I found the time to read one of her stories in English. I really enjoyed it, so I feel like advising others to read it. It's science fiction, of course. And politics. And war. And torture. And love. And power. Which goes back to politics, yes, but also to love.

You may find the link to it and a few lines about it by its author here.

[info]annafdd, Riccardo and Zip left before 10 this morning.

Yesterday the trip was OK, they arrived much earlier than I had feared, and I finished work earlier than scheduled, so I was preparing a salad when they called me.

Both of them were charmed by Lyon (which is notoriously a magic city) and looked very happy to be there. And Zip enjoyed my house a lot. Especially my "mezzanine" bed (I don't know the word in English).I'm watching you

We ate at a Lybanese restaurant, then took a beer at St. James', an Irish pub near my home.

You can see a few pix on my Flickr page.
