So, before I try and go take my blood test, a few updates.
Yes, I'm stressed. Yes, I cry for nothing. So please just avoid "nothing", for the time being. Be gentle, be kind, be soothing, congratulate me for what I do and just spare me the critics: write them down for when I'll feel better, that is in a month and a half.
No, I'm not depressed: I just get violent. You don't want to see me get violent, do you? Sure you don't. Not sure? Believe me: you don't.
Well, now that things are settled, I can announce you an evolution in one of my blogs: the Multilingual Blog becomes something more personal, and more professional at the same time. It has now an Italian title, Sempre meglio che lavorare (you'll find the explication in the "About" page. Yes, in English too) and it is meant to display things I write or publish or broadcast for various sources. What may interest you among what I have already posted, is the original version of the letter Pat Cadigan wrote for the Lyonnes de la SF episode about Heinlein. I translated it in French for the podcast, of course, but there you can find it in English.
I'm also here to ask you for some help: would you please help me correct my English sections? (I would also say the French ones, but there is already someone who is doing that :) ) If you do, I will link your home page, or blog, whatever, under a "thanks" section. Yes, I realize this seems to contradict my previous statement about sparing me the critics, but this is totally different. I don't need to explain why, of course.
And please, believe me. I don't want to get violent. I'm sorry if I do. I just can't avoid it. And this stresses me even more, I hate to hurt people in general. I don't need to tell you how much I hate to hurt people I care about.

To let you know that Turkish Diary has been quoted for the second time on Global Voices :)

On my Turkish Diary blog I usually do nothing more than copy and paste interesting articles, without any comment. I know it is not how a blog should work, but I usually don't have the time to do more than that, and besides, I tend to consider that blog more as an archive for personal use than as something aimed to be read by others.
However, the current crisis in Turkey has pushed me to make a small effort. It is not really a revolution, it is always copy-and-paste, but in a more "personal" and logical way. In this post, I think I treated all the main issues at stakes in this moment. Since I have seen a growing interest in what's going on among my friends and colleagues, I think you too might be interested.
I have also added a shorter post about Eurovision.
Please, feel free to comment and tell me your opinion on these small changes. And if you have more questions about Turkey, don't be shy and ask!

About blog newsletters: there is a full list on my personal website.

I have just added on the sidebar of this LJ the form to subscribe to the newsletter of my LJ itself.
For those who read me through their LJ Friends' page or through a feed aggregator, I put the form here as well. But I think it's more for my friends who are not LJ subscribers. Please don't be shy if you have questions to ask.

Especially for those of you who read this LJ from a news feed aggregator, or from your own Friends page, so you can't see changes on my LJ home page.
I have added "Now Reading" box in the sidebar. I hope I'll remember to update it :)

Are you interested in Kurdish issues, Turkish politics and EU-Turkey relationships? Then this interview on my Turkish Diary blog is for you.
Do you prefer soccer instead and are being rather nostalgic of the World Cup? Here you will find a compilation of funny videos about Zidane's best strike.
Nothing better than a nice porn movie? Ok, then this is for you.

I actually didn't think I could, and yet I'm updating regularly my Multilingual blog.
I'm quite proud of it, even though up until now I have only copied some press releases. The kind of news you would like to spread all over the world, but you can't.
Today it's a French spot of a reportage about Kurdish women rebels, yesterday it was from Amnesty, and in English.
I invite you to keep an eye on it, it might be much more interesting than this one.

I have decided I don't have enough blogs.
So, I have created a new one.
It's Selene Verri multilingual blog. Not a personal blog, I will go on being silly about myself on this one, the other one is only news. Multilingual, as the title says. Mostly in Italian, French and English. But, who can say? Maybe also in Spanish and Portuguese, if I find something interesting. Not necessarily serious.
I will tell you from here when I have written a new post, don't worry.
