Why won't my friends just shut up and let me die?

They say the suicide rate is higher in summer. Actually, holidays (summer, Christmas, Easter...) have always depressed me a lot, so I've always done all that's in my power to work during those periods. Now I'm working too much, I'm not depressed, but I'm stressed. To the point that yesterday I was far from kind to a dear friend who - him too - is apparently having a bad moment.

But it's getting better. Today the weather was sunny, which always has a good effect on my mood, apparently the infection is gone, or at least it 's annoying me less, and at work people look nicer.

It's going much better also for a French friend of mine I hadn't heard of for a while because... she had attempted suicide. She took all the pills she had and tried to poison her cat as well. Luckily enough her boyfriend found her before it was too late, brought her to the hospital, and saved also her cat. She says probably she had calculated this, unconsciously, but it doesn't shock me less for that. And today, when I reached her on the phone, she looked just as cheerful as ever.

On Wednesday we're going together to the French convention. I hope we'll have fun. We deserve it. Or maybe not, but at least we need it.
